Sign up and create your organization.

Create your first monitor

  1. Open Monitors in the sidebar and click "New monitor"
  2. Enter the URL or host to check and click "Test"
  3. Under Counts as up when, add or edit the checks
  4. Click "Start monitoring"

Creating a Monitor explains every chip of the monitor builder, and Monitor Options the check interval, timeout, thresholds and locations.

Add a notification channel

A notification channel decides where alerts go: email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, PagerDuty or a webhook. Open Notification Channels in the sidebar, click "New notification channel" and add its receivers under Receivers. Then pick it under Alert to in the monitor builder. See Creating a Notification Channel.

Add a scheduled task

For a cron job or another recurring job, open Scheduled Tasks in the sidebar and click "New scheduled task". The job then sends a beat to the Beat API each time it runs; a missed beat alerts you. See Creating a Scheduled Task.

Create an API key

For the API, Terraform and MCP, create a management key under API Keys in the sidebar. It is shown only once, when it is created. See API keys and the Terraform quickstart.
